I love photography and I am considering taking it a bit more seriously investing in proper training and getting a serious kit. I'm currently gearing up for a little side project and was considering shooting it all in high speed b/w film just for the texture I love grainy photos they just feel like a photo rather then a digitally created imitation of a real moment. I found the film I wanted and at a good price sourced a studio the does wet processing then added up how much it will all cost and my heart sank when I realized I actually couldn't afford it. I love film there is something about a photo that hasn't spent hours in photoshop it just has a certain magic about it. The whole process is a craft rather then a series of ones and zeros that a computer tells a screen is an image. Film is the actual capturing of light and is taken with the intention being printed rather then posted on facebook. I'm not a purist, if you are a commercial photographer shooting in film would be pointless. I just love film especially black and white and I think that camera manufactures deciding to only make digital cameras is like pencil companies deciding to only make HB pencils.
